Internazionale have won the Champions League. They are the Kings of Europe. Jose Mourinho was the mastermind behind Inter’s CL success. He did it for the second time in his coaching career, the first time with Porto. He becomes only the third manager in the history of football to achieve this feat. Kudos to him. His Inter side defeated the German champions Bayern Munich by a 2-0 scoreline. The German side looked second best throughout the night and was very predictable. Jose’s plan worked perfectly and he did not have any trouble whatsoever. Diego Milito scored both the goals for the Italian champions. Congrats to Inter.

The champions of English first division are Chelsea! The league was decided on the final day and Chelsea won quite convincingly with a score line of 8-0 against a hapless Wigan Athletic side. Manchester United who had been the champions for three previous seasons were in the race till the final day trailing by just 1 point. They won 4-0 against Stoke City at home but that was not enough. So congratulations to Chelsea.

My friend is planning to start a new business and came to me for help. The first thing I asked him to do is choose a good name for his business because a catchy name always draws customers towards you and the next thing was get good quality designer business cards for the business. All of you can take note of what I am going to say as well.
The reason I did these things is quite obvious. Attraction is an important thing and if something is pleasing to the eye, the brain kind of processes it and comes to a conclusion that it must be superior. In other words, if a thing has good appearance, then almost 60-70% of its task is complete in my opinion. The rest is now up to him. I have even suggested a few other tips to him. I hope he really succeeds in what he does. Good luck buddy!

EPL update

EPL is the first league that I will be updating on. The league was tightly contested and it was a 3 horse race in which the 3rd team was not really into the race. It was there just for the sake of it and that team was ARSENAL.
To be honest, the real race was between Chelsea and Manchester United which Chelsea look to have edged slightly. They almost have one hand on the league title with just one game to go. It is really Chelsea’s to lose now.
Manchester United were never the same team without one Mr. Cristiano Ronaldo. Rooney did all the scoring and it looked like they didn’t need Ronaldo but just like I said, football is not a game in which you can depend on just one player to deliver. Their eternal foes Liverpool looked out of sorts the whole season and were a disaster this term. I hope they can improve next year. There is however one game left. So let’s see if there is any final twist in the tale.

footballer’s physique

Today I was reading an article about football players and their physiques. Long gone are those days when players used to carry a paunch and paid little or no attention to their physical fitness levels. I know people who smoked cigarettes in the early days when they had an active career in football. I am not claiming that no professional smokes today. There are even people that smoke cocaine and have even been banned for that but the thing is professionals these days are more concerned about their physical capacity and well being that they take utmost care of themselves.
A footballers’ physique is one in which the percentage of body fat is very low. They don’t carry a lot of muscle as well. It is unique and varies depending on the position that a player takes on the pitch. Their diet includes high protein and may also include Protein Bars while they are not playing and high in carbohydrates before a game so that they have energy ready in hand for use. It is an interesting area of study I would say.

CL FINAL 2010

I will be updating about the leagues in a little while from now. For the time being, I am planning to write about the two Champions League finalists, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich.
Inter knocked out Chelsea, CSKA Moscow and Barcelona on their way to the finals where as Bayern out smarted Fiorentina, Manchester United and Lyon. Both the teams will meet on the 22nd of May at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain. I am guessing that Inter coached by the Special One will win the tie. Let us all wait and watch.

trendy eye wear

I had to recently go to the optician to buy myself new eye glasses because my old ones had expired and I am not very comfortable doing my job that requires me to sit in front of a computer for long hours without my anti-glare eye wear on. I actually did not let them expire but it had been too long since I checked my vision and also the design looked a bit dorky as of today and that is why a change was imminent. The bad thing about this is I did not know that I could find better deals online. I wish I could have known about this earlier but it is better late than never. Now that I now, I am spreading the word so that you can consider this before you make up your mind. There are some real cool designs and they are offered at great prices. So if you are ever thinking about eye glasses, you know exactly what to do.

It has been a long time since I updated. As of now, almost all the leagues around Europe are nearing completion and the finalists for the Champions League have been decided. I am pretty much satisfied with that result. I will be posting more about it later. Also coming up is updates from the major leagues across Europe.

CL 1st knockout round update

The first round of the Champions League matches are over and it has set up some interesting clashes for the second round of the first knockout phase. I was actually planning on updating the results once the second leg gets over as well but for now, I will just give out details about some clashes that could be interesting to watch come the second leg. They will be Milan v ManU, Madrid V Lyon, Inter V Chelsea. I am looking forward to these clashes. It’s not that the rest of the matches are any less interesting but these are the ones that I will be focusing on.
